Tabata Is No Joke

Remember when I said yesterday that I was pretty confident I wouldn’t die while doing Tabata?

That was the first time I ever felt like I was going to puke after a workout.

I never could have imagined that 4 minutes would be THAT intense.

My plan was to do two sets, but that quickly got nixed. I started out on the bike and ended on the bike.

3 minute warm up.

20 seconds full speed on bike.

10 seconds rest.

Repeat 7 times.

3 minute cool down.

Total time: 10 minutes.

Feeling great before I hopped on the bike.

Before Tabata

Setting my timer. Thinking this is going to be a piece of cake. 4 minutes? Pfft. I got this.

After Tabata

I had to make this look pretty because I was looking ROUGH.

My thighs were burning when I got off that bike. It took me a few minutes because I thought I might collapse. I wasn’t sure if my legs would hold me. They felt like jello.

Tabata kicked my butt!

I can’t wait to do it again.
